So, without the use of WIFI or any other mobile network, you marks the spot and saves it in the app. Then when you reach a free WIFI, gets back home or basically goes online anyway you want, you edit the list of GPS spots. For each GPS spot, you select the actual Gowalla spot (based on the same metrics as in the Gowalla app) and *bang*, it is turned into a Gowalla Check-in.
